Sound Idea transformed ELRC’s outdated paper-form system into something modern and digitised. ELRC no longer wanted employees to manually submit and fill out forms. We automated the forms on a SharePoint system, with feedback also delivered via the system. Five forms were digitised: Leave management and leave reports forms; Petty cash management application; IT fault request logs; Travel requisition management; Driver request forms. An automated escalation of work flow process was also built in. If no response is received on a form in an allotted time, the form is sent to the next person in the work flow to be assessed.
Besides the digitisation for these forms an online notice board was also created and a web articles system where internal staff could all receive information. The look and feel of the SharePoint installation and configuration was based upon ELRC’s corporate website.
